Faq’s

Q: What is a typical service like?
A: Upon arrival you’ll encounter a fun and friendly group of people before the service. Coffee and snacks are available before each service. You can expect every service to start on time and run 75-90 minutes in length. Every service includes a time of passionate praise and worship and an inspiring teaching from God’s Word. Messages are designed to be relevant and practical with spiritual depth. Every Harvest Campus will hear regularly from Senior Pastor Kirk Pankratz and other key pastors. We utilize a combination of live speaking by the preaching team and live-stream video messages, and our people absolutely love the variety. A time for personal prayer is available after every service when you need it. Campus pastors and their teams will be connecting with you around the services and are available throughout the week.

Q: What is available for my kids and teens?
A: In HarvestKids, the children’s ministry of Church of the Harvest, services for preschool and elementary children are provided simultaneously with every adult service. A host can direct you to our Parent Services check-in points to sign in your children. The environment, age-appropriate learning encounter, children’s worker quality, spiritual experience and security is of the utmost importance to us. You can expect your kids to grow spiritually and to have lots of fun in the process. Plan to arrive 20-30 minutes early to check-in your kids and connect with people before the service starts. Children can check-in as early as 30 minutes prior to each service.

Youth America is the youth ministry of Church of the Harvest. Young people (grades 6-12) meet every Wednesday night of the month, three for worship and small groups, and one Wednesday a month for Encounter Night. Many campuses offer a Ramp service on Sundays (grades 6-8). Students of Harvest are also actively involved in all Sunday services. Check out your local campus web page for all youth events and meeting times.

Q: What is the makeup of people who attend Harvest?
A: Our services are casual in dress. We truly have a wide range of people. Each campus will reflect the social, racial and economic expression of the community where it is located. From the business professional to the artistic, young adult, married or single, kids or no kids, there are people just like you to discover and befriend. Harvest is well-known for a strong participation of the next generation of young adults. We are a church who appeals to every age category of your family. It’s not uncommon to see three generations of families attending Harvest at the same time.

Q: What is expected of me as a new person coming to church?
A: Nothing. We won’t have you lift your hand and introduce yourself or force you to site on the front row. Be yourself. Have fun. We want to serve you. Look us over. Experience our people. See if you sense God in our time together. You can bring a bible with you or not. We’ll be glad you came.

Q: If I have a desire to get involved is it easy to do so?
A: Absolutely! When you’re ready we want to help connect you in key places of service that will be rewarding for you. Developing your God-given potential is a priority for us. The pathway to involvement is simple. Our goal is to fast-track you to find your place and make a difference. Sometimes churches appear to have all the spot filled and no room left for new people. That’s not the case at Harvest. We are believers in developing layers of leaders and multiple opportunities. Don’t assume there is no room to participate, just ask how to get started. Check out the CONNECT, EQUIP and SERVE areas on your specific campus or around a Sunday service to find out how to get involved.
